100% raw wool from our flock to help nourish your plants and garden soil.
We’ve joined our local mill, Skagit Woolen Works, pellet program to share the magic that is wool with you. Our discarded bits of fleece, not suitable to end up on your needles or spinning wheels, get transformed into this biodegradable and renewable resource.
Benefits of pellets:
Natural Fertilizer- As pellets slowly break down in the soil, they release their nutrients. Nitrogen, carbon, magnesium, sulphur, iron, and calcium, to name a few.
Aeration- Pellets expand in water, increasing oxygen levels in the soil
Natural Peat Moss alternative for soil blocking
Slug & Pest repellent- When used as a mulch, pellets can deter slugs, pests, and some weeds
Moisture retention- pellets can hold up to 20 times their weight in water and will release it when conditions dry. This reduces the amount of watering needed in dryer months and keeps plants’ roots hydrated.
Size Options:
1.5 lb size: Enough for approximately one 25-gallon pot or 3x3 feet of garden bed
2.5 lb size: Enough for approximately one 18x24” container or 4x4 feet of garden bed
